Creative Memories with Mary Jo and Laura

Wow what a fun weekend we had on September 25-28 with Mary Jo and Laura. These ladies scrapped the entire time and Mary Jo and Laura showcased great projects from Creative Memories. They also gave away some great prizes. There was even a little bit of trading going on!!!
These ladies chose Halloween and Mexican fiesta as their theme choices. They really knew how to liven up the party when the games were played! I wonder if anyone can tell me what the capital of Mexico is?? I loved seeing Mary Jo run around the sombrero whenever the word "trash" was said. Or the fact that someone who didn't drink repeatedly asked for a margarita!!

Mini Album Weekend

What a great weekend we had working on mini albums with the ladies of EMI. It was a rainy weekend, but all the ladies worked hard on the 5 mini albums. Michelle and Genia did a great job teaching the classes and everyone learned so many new techniques.

Saturday night, we had so much fun celebrating the 80's and watching the classics (80s films that is). Marsha and Darlene did some dancing of their own and Laura and Krystal tried to reenact a famous lift and failed miserably. And don't forget Lori and Vanessa's hilarity, Donna's handmade creations, or Megan's determination to turn Misty into a scrapbooker (she succeeded)!!

Another Scraphappy Weekend

What a great time we had the weekend of July 10-12 with Deb Heimler and her friends. I don't know that we've ever had a group that was quite so enthusiastic about the themes. Their 80's night was one that will be hard to top. Someone wore their sunglasses at night, one person wore a coat similar to a Karma Chameleon singer, and someone spent all day making sure that their hair was as high as possible. But we are not naming names. Laura tried to stump everyone with her impossible to answer trivia questions!! Below are a few pictures from the weekend. Our special thanks to Deb, Wendy, Monica, Johna, Aimee, and Jamie for just being willing to have a great time no matter what and for making us laugh more than we ever thought possible. We will be sore for days!

EMI Scrapbooking Weekend Sneak Peak #1

Okay ladies, here's your first look at one of the mini albums we'll be making during our September weekend. The papers featured in this album come from Heidi Swapp's Summer Fun Collection. The album is made up of 6 double sided chipboard pages roughly 6 inches in diameter. Other items used include Heidi Swapp printed cardstock embellishments, Summer Fun cardstock stickers, assorted ribbons, buttons, twine and more! We'd love to show you the whole thing, but then you wouldn't be surprised when you get to the retreat!



The weekend is filling fast and we will probably sell out in the next week or so, so if you're interested in one of the last spots it's time to register!!!

Ready For Christmas Yet???

We know that it may be a little soon but have you started thinking about Christmas presents yet??? If you are like us, you have teachers, Sunday School teachers, Secret Pals, Office friends, and much more on top of the usual family and friends to give gifts to. Sometimes it gets overwhelming just thinking about!! This year, let Scraphappy Retreats help with Christmas. Soon, we will be previewing our Christmas weekend at Big Canoe. This weekend will take place on November 13- 15! Not only will you get a relaxing weekend scrapping but you will also make great gifts for everyone on your list!!! We will be offering supplies to make gifts for those special people on your list that can easily be recreated for last minute or year round gifts!!! Mommy Weekend- July 31-August 2

Calling all mommies!!! If you are like us, you have a ton of photos of your new bundle of joy. Sadly, you are too busy changing diapers, feeding, staying up all night to scrapbook your sweet baby. Normal scrapbook weekends are not right for you either because you can't leave your baby for a second!!! Now you can do both in a great weekend. Bring your baby for a great weekend of scrapping and mommy/baby time. That's right bring your baby so that you can do all the regular mommy stuff of changing, feeding, bonding with baby and scrap at the same time. While you scrap, your baby will be cared for by volunteers. Yet, you will still be available for all the normal bonding opportunities for mommy and baby!! A Weekend of Classes with EMI Scrapbooking

The weekend you've been patiently waiting and begging for is finally here! It's time to block off September 18-20 on your calendars. We've planned a weekend full of fabulous mini-albums designed and taught by the ladies of EMI Scrapbooking. Imagine it ladies, three days away from home in the beautiful North Georgia mountains at Big Canoe, five mini-albums, five make-and-takes, all the food and snacks you can eat(prepared by someone other than you- WAHOO!!), plus you'll still have time to scrap. We're so excited to be able to offer this weekend!It's everything you've grown accustomed to from our all-inclusive weekend retreats and so much more! Total cost for the weekend including accommodations, food, snacks, beverages, classes, crop time, and unlimited fun is only $265!! Sadly we have to limit the weekend to the first 16 guests and spaces are already filling quickly. Register early to reserve your spot for this fabulous weekend! A deposit of $125 is required to register and as always we will offer Thursday accommodations for those who want extra scrap time for only $15 more.

Stay tuned ladies, we're working on an awesome mini book weekend from the ladies at EMI Scrapbooking. (WE LOOOOOOVE THEIR BOOKS!) In one weekend you'll create 6 mini-books, 5 make-and-takes, and still have time to crop. This would be a great time to start working on Christmas gifts. More details and dates to come soon! Kit of the Month Club

We finally found a kit of the month club that offered all of our favorite products and manufacturers. For only $29.95 a month (plus $6.95 shipping) this kit is the value that we love combined with products that we actually want. (We are the Dollar Tree Divas after all!) Every month your kit will arrive at your door like clockwork. That's great for those of us who don't live by or work in a scrapbook store (or Paper Source like Marsha!). We will also send you a pdf with ideas for each month. Also, for those of you who live near or are willing to drive a bit, each month we'll have a kit club crop at Krystal's house. You can spend a full day cropping at Krystal's, using her tools, going through her closets. You can work on your kit club and utilize our ideas or just work on whatever you feel like working on. The crop will be FREE, and Krystal is even willing to offer accommodations for the night before for those of you who have to travel a ways to get to her house in Gainesville. The only thing I have ever won from a blog contest is a free t-shirt! We know that all of you (especially past retreat goers) are great scrapbookers and have many layouts to choose from. If you've come to one of our retreats you know how much we love games and giving away prizes. So we've decided to extend that to our blog. For the rest of this month show us what you've been working on lately and we'll award our favorite layout or project with a free scrapbook retreat! May 1st-3rd Retreat

What a great weekend!! It was rainy but who really cares because most of the time was spent scrapping. Darlene, Marsha, Kristy and Melissa helped make this weekend so fun and relaxing.

Friday night we had a lot of fun playing games and decorating Mr. Potato Head. Saturday we played another great round of gossip and found out many interesting things. First, never take Melissa to a bar. Second, if you want to know about answering customer service questions for 2 TOTALLY different organizations, ask Kristy. Finally, we learned that Darlene would have made a great doctor and to never allow Marsha to housesit. Dressing up was so much fun and Darlene really enjoyed wearing a tiara.

We had so much fun and learned about all the great scrapbooking websites available. Please post your favorites on the message boards at our shutterfly site.

April 24-26 Retreat

Wow, what a great time we had last weekend with Bonnie, Teresa, Gwenn, Kelly, Kathy, Linda and Deb. Friday night was "Tater Tot Crop" and everyone seemed to enjoy dressing up in their western wear. Gwenn and Kelly, aka "Taco and Paco" held everyone up at gunpoint, but we all came out unscathed. Saturday, Laura, Kelly and Gwenn had a little adventure on the "nature walk!!" It was great weather to eat on the deck and hike in the mountains. Saturday night was "Putting on the Glitz Crop." We all dressed in our formal wear and had a great time learning new things about one another. Walter (Kathy) had us all laughing and Deb does look like a certain young lady on some yummy snacks!! Everyone had a blast playing games, winning prizes, and having a great time. We would like to thank everyone again for making last weekend so special. Please feel free to come back anytime!!

Below is some information about our upcoming scrapbook retreats!!!!

This all-inclusive weekend includes:

*Cabin accommodations from Friday evening through Sunday (Come Thursday night for only $15 more)
* All meals, drinks, and snacks from Friday dinner through Sunday lunch
*Two full service themed crop nights full of fun, games, make-and-take, and most importantly PRIZES!!
*Did we mention goody bags? You'll get an awesome goody bag when you arrive full of scrapbooking goodies.
*At least 4 ft. of cropping space with your own light and trash container.
*Use of our fully equipped tool station- Cricut and cartridges, Sizzix and dies, Punches, Crop-o-dile, Paper Trimmers, Scissors, Stamps, Idea Books, and more!
*Use of computer with color printer
*Photo printer available for printing out those forgotten photos
*Cabin "Store" for picking up those needed forgotten items

Total cost for the weekend is $150. Come as early Friday as you would like and stay until as late as 8 PM on Sunday.
